The Mayonnaise Jar

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day is not enough; remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee. A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and start to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured it into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else he asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with an unanimous 'yes.' The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, e

I promise to get back on track sooner than later :) *a little shoutout to Ms. Joy from Concord :)* She came up to me at the District Bible Quizzing tournament in Rialto. :) I love meeting my blog readers! Finals

Pray for me.. It's time for finals *thumbs down*

School is ALMOST out !

Well... I "officially" get out next Friday, June 17th :) But... I plan on finishing up a couple days early due to the youth conference in Chula Vista, CA .. I believe Bro. Tony Spell is going to be preaching! About 30 lessons left.. In 5 days.. If you're good at math, then you would have calculated 6 lessons a day for the next 5 school days. :) I have seriously been praying God helps me finish up with good grades/GPA. Just a heads up, I won't be posting much in the next couple weeks :/ Sorry folks. I'll be back up and running before you know it ;) Leave comments and browse through old posts while I'm gone! Have a blessed week! Love y'all!

Nightmares

*thumbs down* I've never loved my nightmares.. They scare me half to death most of the time.. It seems like I've had them almost every night.. I can't go back to sleep afterwards either.. I usually just run to my parent's room.. And sleep with my Bible.. Really. They have been intense :/ They aren't any fun at all.. I feel trapped and I can't talk.. When I try to say "Jesus," It comes out in mumbles.. -____- Nightmares are uncool. They will never be liked.. It's said women have worse nightmares than men. I wonder why...??

Thought of the Day

I don't know about you, but I sure do love me some  encouragement :) I've been trying to give it a lot more recently.. You know, I found out that truly, the more you give, the more you recieve! We always have a friend who is in need of some lovin' and huggin'. Words like, "You can do it," "I'm here for you," "You're going to make it," help the person know that in the midst of their trials, someone is there to help and pray for them.. Also, letting them know that God is still a MIGHTY GOD. Just letting a person know you love/appreciate them makes a difference ! Maybe that person didn't feel like they were doing any good being an example to young people or the like. I've walked up to my Elders and told them how much I appreciate them and that I look up to them. The way they pray, worship, have faith, or have a knowledge of the Word. I know my blog is mainly read by young people (ages unknown lol). I KNOW you hav

A Promise

( Here is why I wrote this post today. Going through this blog and reading about this sweet little girl getting touched.) Awhile back ago, (in February?), there was a Ladies Conference in Chula Vista, California at Bro. Buxton's church. Everything that was said was straight to me and I felt a breakthrough with struggles and trials I was going through. Just another AMAZING service with the women in our churches :) Towards the end of altar call, a lady came up and whispered in my ear and said something along the lines of God hears your prayers and He will answer them. Immediately, I thought of my family that isn't saved. My sweet cousins, uncles and aunts, grandparents..etc.. All the ones that aren't saved.. *You know when you pray for your family, you usually have a couple specific people in mind? I had 2 of my beautiful, younger cousins that stood out in my thoughts.* God promised me that He would touch them.. And I'm still holding onto that. One is only a co
