Spokane, WA

This past weekend, I visited Spokane, Washington! Completely different from Southern California and I loved EVERY minute of it! The change of scenery was just what I needed for a nice weekend getaway :)

My uncle and aunt are foster parents - also, adopting. It was incredible to see what they do for these kids. Eye opening! These precious kids touched my heart so deeply. There are countless children who have been touched by my aunt and uncle's love. The kids have experienced God's love through them and will forever remember the impact it made on their lives.

There is a roaring river in the middle of downtown Spokane... Breathtaking! Serene!

The reason for my weekend getaway? My Great Grandpa remarried, he is 84 years and my Great Grandma is 80 years old. They were divorced for 43 years, and in the last 2 months, they reconnected... Lol, you are never too old for love. They married at Lake Coeur d'Alene in Idaho.

Look at those smiles! :)

Even though I was only there a few days, it felt like I was there for a week. The fresh air was good for my soul.. so was the preaching on Sunday at Cornerstone in Spokane! If you are ever near that area, make sure you visit the church! Awesome!

Adventures with Meagan :) lol!

Bible Quizzer

Umm.... I had no idea what I was getting myself into lol! This is my first year of Bible Quizzing and man! I love it!!!!! :D I can't wait to go to the competitions!! :D We have to learn over 400 verses but as Bro. Vick & Brendan said "Don't look at the numbers." It's easier when you don't look at numbers and you just memorize and go over them everyday!!! I'm so excited!!! It has motivated me to get done with schoolwork lol. I hope we have a good (NOOO, a GREAT!) team so we can go to more competitions. :) Fun & traveling! Which teams do you know that are awesome Bible Quizzers?? Do you have any tips for a first time BQ??? :)

Courage in the Altar

It takes courage to walk to the altar (a lot of the time). Especially when you are struggling and going through trials. Most of us feel embarrassed or have too much pride to cry in the altar, shout, or dance in the Spirit. It really does amaze me.. It's like we are intimidated by other women/men.. Have you ever noticed it? Courage: " have the courage of one's convictions, to  act   in accordance with one's beliefs, especially in spite of criticism." (dictionary.com) I've heard plenty of people say, "The day so&so shouts and runs the aisles is when I'll do it." I REALLY don't get it! Do these people not have the revelation of worship, praise, and not to care what others are going to think about them?? Sometimes, worship is a life or death situation. :/ Seriously. You won't give God 100% of your praise... You're holding back.. You won't let loose. The saints of God get victory through prayer and worship.

A love for the Potter's wheel

It'll take an eternity for me to tell God how thankful I am and how much I love Him.. I'm sure you will all agree. God has been soo good. It's not right to dwell on your past (as a hindrance) but I think this is the exception: When I look at where I was a few short years ago and now, where I stand today. Constantly, I have been changing for the better. On the "Potter's wheel," God has been molding me into the woman He wants me to be. He had to break me down to make me brand new. It wasn't easy, I can tell ya that. I'm sure God had to use a sledge hammer to shatter my "pot" lol :) If you know what I mean. Honestly, most of us don't want to be put out of our "norm." When you're life is going great, you don't think, "In 6 months, I'm going to lose my house/parents/job/best friend/etc." I think almost every situation that happens is God's way of placing me (us) on the table to be molded and shaped
