Bible Club

Have you ever had the urge to join a club...or even make one?

I remember in 7th grade, I heard about a Bible Club. I honestly thought "How lame! Who would do that?" I never thought twice about joining one. Throughout that year, a few of my friends had joined, I heard about them reading through the Bible and other things related to that. Well, you see, back in those days I didn't really want to be a "light" unto the world of lost sinners. I pretty much was one! I just wanted to fit in and be accepted. I got what I wanted. I acted like them. My sinner friends influenced me.

Everything was a mess. I was a total brat. I had the worst attitude. I just wasn't doing right. I'd get in trouble at least three times a day. Who told me to "get it together"? No one.

There were things I did that I knew weren't right. What I wore, for example. Even though I was going to church and trying to live the Christian life I was taught, I couldn't do it. There was always something missing. Something I knew I needed. Now, I had the Holy Ghost and was baptized in Jesus name but what didn't I have? I thought I had a good church, a fun youth group, and a great family. It was a puzzle.

There's too much to tell about what I did and who I was....but......what if?

What if I had a better walk with God?
I wouldn't have done what I did. I could have witnessed to those friends.

What if I was a good 13 year old girl back then?
I would have had a better attitude. I could have been a better person.

What if I had gone to that Bible Club eager to be a LIGHT?
I would have shown them the Truth! I could have helped them get into church! They would have been saved! Speaking in tongues and baptized in that room!

WHAT IF!?

We all learn from past mistakes and faults. Past experiences help us grow stronger. Yes. We all wish we could redo some of those moments in life where the devil had brought us down. But right now, I'm just so THANKFUL that God brought me out of that! All I can tell you is, *singing* "He picked me up and turned me around! He placed my feet on solid ground! It makes me want to shout! Hallelujah! Thank you Jesus! Lord, You're worthy of all of the glory, and all of the honor, and all of the praise!"

I hope this encouraged you :)

Bible Quizzer

Umm.... I had no idea what I was getting myself into lol! This is my first year of Bible Quizzing and man! I love it!!!!! :D I can't wait to go to the competitions!! :D We have to learn over 400 verses but as Bro. Vick & Brendan said "Don't look at the numbers." It's easier when you don't look at numbers and you just memorize and go over them everyday!!! I'm so excited!!! It has motivated me to get done with schoolwork lol. I hope we have a good (NOOO, a GREAT!) team so we can go to more competitions. :) Fun & traveling! Which teams do you know that are awesome Bible Quizzers?? Do you have any tips for a first time BQ??? :)

Coincidence? I think not.

There came a time in my life where I needed to get out from being under the spotlight...  To get away for awhile.  To be alone. To deal with things in my life. And now I'm here :) writing...  I  am currently attending North-West College to become a Pharmacy Technician.  (I also work here during the day) A fellow pharmacy student was talking to me before class... She poured her heart out to me. She was crying-tears rolling down her cheeks. She was hurting. She was contemplating taking drugs again. She was losing her faith in God. And there I was.. A child of God Filled with the Holy Ghost Having peace in my life  Knowing that God hears me We cried together. The people that surround us need to hear encouragement and love from God's people. They need the opportunity to walk into a church that preaches truth, that has life! They need to see God through you!  Don't be afraid to cry with them. God put you with them at that moment... God knew they needed you ...

A Special Touch From Heaven

For many many months, I wasn't feeling well. It was like I had something stuck inside of me that pushed everything about me (bubbly personality, a little ball of joy, Miss Sunshine, full of energy) into a little ball and filled the rest of the space with emptiness [cold]. It has definitely not been the best part of my life, for sure. It's one of those trials where you just want to go back to the year before lol. I'm telling you, I was the total opposite of who I really am. Oh my, talk about craziness. I started to get really sad, kept to myself a lot, and ZERO energy.. Ahhhh it was all bad!! If you think that I am wallowing around in this pile of mud (not wanting to get out), think again! I've been pushing myself harder to get back to my old self. I've been getting into the Word, praying, keeping in contact with friends/etc. For 3 weeks (up until a week ago), I slept almost ALL day. Not kidding. I told you, NO ENERGY. I didn't want to do anything. No piano, no...
