Be the Teacher

Hmm.. I've been thinking about career choices lately.

I want a job where I can make an impact on the world, let my personality shine, be a leader, make someone happy, and help others.

I think that "teacher" fits into this category. :)

Looking back, I can name a couple teachers that were just so incredibly awesome.. It was an instant *click* with them. They loved ALL their students, even the ones who were causing trouble in class :) they were patient, kind, and every student loved them. I can honestly say that Mr. Bittner & Mrs. Baker were definitely the best teachers I've had so far.

Mrs. Baker was my English teacher in 8th grade and like I said, instant *click*!!! She was funny and made learning fun :) She helped every student with what they needed no matter what. The classroom was filled with laughter (even on testing days).

Mr. Bittner was my Science teacher in 8th grade :) He totally understood ME! He was/is a non-denominational pastor and made learning science so easy!! On the very first day he noticed the "Pentecostal" look lol!! He also headed up a class called Leadership (I think??). We decorated for events, helped teachers in other classes. So many memories :)

I wish more teachers were like them. I wish more students appreciated these teachers too.

What I realized is that I want to make a change in other kids lives like they did mine. I want to be THAT teacher everyone remembers and visits whenever they are passing by the classroom/school. I can picture it already! *sigh* It just seems RIGHT.

I wish people were as thoughtful as you. You will make a huge impact on the world no matter what you become as a career because you have already made the most important choice of al. Following Jesus.

It warms my heart that such an amazing person as yourself cites me as a role model. You are a role model. You walk through life with grace, fortitude, intelligence and humor. Those are things that make great teachers but more importantly, they make great humans!!!

Bible Quizzer

Umm.... I had no idea what I was getting myself into lol! This is my first year of Bible Quizzing and man! I love it!!!!! :D I can't wait to go to the competitions!! :D We have to learn over 400 verses but as Bro. Vick & Brendan said "Don't look at the numbers." It's easier when you don't look at numbers and you just memorize and go over them everyday!!! I'm so excited!!! It has motivated me to get done with schoolwork lol. I hope we have a good (NOOO, a GREAT!) team so we can go to more competitions. :) Fun & traveling! Which teams do you know that are awesome Bible Quizzers?? Do you have any tips for a first time BQ??? :)

Coincidence? I think not.

There came a time in my life where I needed to get out from being under the spotlight...  To get away for awhile.  To be alone. To deal with things in my life. And now I'm here :) writing...  I  am currently attending North-West College to become a Pharmacy Technician.  (I also work here during the day) A fellow pharmacy student was talking to me before class... She poured her heart out to me. She was crying-tears rolling down her cheeks. She was hurting. She was contemplating taking drugs again. She was losing her faith in God. And there I was.. A child of God Filled with the Holy Ghost Having peace in my life  Knowing that God hears me We cried together. The people that surround us need to hear encouragement and love from God's people. They need the opportunity to walk into a church that preaches truth, that has life! They need to see God through you!  Don't be afraid to cry with them. God put you with them at that moment... God knew they needed you ...

Little Miss is Back :)

Well, well, well. :) Look who just posted. Meagan Rowell is coming back to the blog-o-sphere! After I stopped blogging, I was thinking of what I had posted. (in 2010) *thoughts* Did it really help anybody with their walk with God? Did it honestly help?! Several people emailed me and well, I'm starting it back up, aren't I. :) Look forward to more posts... and ladies, new hair tutorials ;) I've got a few treats up my sleeve for this new "chapter"  in "They Say... "She is Unashamed." Love, Meggs
