Youth Prayer Meetings

Our young people get together every Monday at 7pm for prayer..

Well, we were told we are going to have some of the youth speak to us from their hearts. :) I got a text and guess who was one of the speakers?? Yessss, me. I was so nervous when I got up there.

I'll write what I talked about for you all to know lol
*side note* I didn't say everything I wanted to because I was a nervous wreck..

Basically, my uncle (youth pastor), had told me to talk about what I told him a couple Sundays ago, encourage the youth, God's going to use them, and talk about what's going on in the spiritual realm.

During pre-service prayer on a Sunday night, I couldn't really pray for the service. It's like I couldn't get in the Holy Ghost with that "topic" through prayer. I tried a couple other topics like praying for the lost and for my family & friends. It still wasn't working.. So I began to pray for myself, which I felt like it was selfish lol but it apparently wasn't so. I believe that God told me, "This is what I want to do with you."

There were two different pictures/clips that popped in my mind right after He said that. The first was me speaking to a group of ladies and the second was me speaking to a group of young people.

(The funny thing is, I looked just like I do now. Lol the same everything.)

Every young person has a purpose. I believe it. Of course, you won't do what God has for you if you aren't doing right. We have to be going the right way (that narrow path to Heaven). In our generation of young people, there are going to be preachers, pastors, preacher's wives, and missionaries. I can already see it! Yes, there are those special young people who might have "more annointing" on them, but I KNOW that God wants to use every one of the youth! Even the one person who is on the "edge." If they get their life right, God is going to show them what they need to do for Him.

I have a bookmark in my Bible that quotes Jeremiah 29:11. I don't know what version it is (it's not KJV), but it says, "For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

God has a future for every single one of us!

I would really like to expand what I said last night. (Put more scriptures and examples. Tell about people who felt what God said they needed to do. Etc)

Any suggestions?? I'd really appreciate it.

God bless you all,
Megg :)

Ask God to help you to expand. Seems to me that God wants to deal with you first. There are some things He wants to put into you so that He can use you. Being used of God always starts with a willing vessel. Thats the beginning.

Start reading the bible at looking at examples of young people that were used of God in their young age. For example: David, Samuel, Josiah, Esther, Daniel, Mary (mother of Jesus), etc. You will start seeing characteristics in them that you can ask God to give you. Characteristics you can encourage other young people to have :)

Keep it up! God definitely wants to use our young generation!!

Where have I been?

Has it really been almost 2 years since my last post? So much has changed.

(Honestly, I am updating my blog because I like to reflect back on how far God has brought me. Forewarning, don't read if you don't want to take a look into my life the past year. This blog has many memories and I want to add on to it.)

2 years seems like a lifetime ago. I was hurting, broken-hearted, uprooted, and quite frankly, needing God more than ever. I questioned everything I was taught and needed answers, but thankfully, there was one thing I knew for sure...

God had plans and He would be all I needed.

Fast forward to October 2017 and I have lived in the state of Washington for a year, moved into my dreamy studio apartment in August, and I work in beautiful northern Idaho making & working more than I would have in Southern California. Who would have thought? Little Miss Meagan, moving 1.300 miles away from her family because God opened doors and said, "Come."

The Struggle is Real

I am not usually the person who spreads their woes on Facebook, Instagram, or blog. Tonight may be the exception but I will refrain from letting emotions get the best of me.

We are all facing trials. Whether you are 16 years old and tempted to cut your hair, 18 years old and thinking about leaving the church since you are technically an 'adult', 21 years old and being pressured to drink, or 24 years old and struggling with hurt and depression.

The struggle is REAL!

The truth is, we are all at different points in our walk with God and, believe it or not, the trials are ALL God-ordained. They have been put in our life specifically for us and to make us more like Christ. The struggles you are facing are a test of your faith and love for God, but they are also there so you can learn from your mistakes and help others when they go through the same trial.

Honey, if you are dealing with hurt, I could quote scripture after scripture giving you encouragement and to cast your cares on Go…

Don't be ashamed

Since my previous post, Walgreen's called me in October and offered me a Pharmacy Technician position! How amazing is that?!  I was so thankful to get hired by my intern site because I knew the patients, the daily routine, and they already felt like my work family.

When the time came to order my scrubs, there was no way I would wear their scrubs pants and I spoke up right away. I told my manager, and guess what? He sent out an email, and it was approved for me to wear a scrub skirt. Let's just say I was the first for them :) but I get so many compliments at the pharmacy! So many of my patients have come in and commented on how cute it was, how they haven't seen a scrub skirt, didn't even know they made them. And OH MY GOODNESS, the compliments on my hair! LOL!

Let this be a reminder for all the girls - all my friends - don't be afraid or ashamed of what (and Who) we stand for! You are a light! :)
