Something to Think About

I've seen a countless number of people who carry their chargers around with them everywhere (me being one of the many lol). Some people have chargers that they leave at work/etc. It doesn't matter if it's for a cell phone, an iPod, or a camera.

I do this too, so don't worry if you fit into the category :) lol As I type, my charger for my (wack) Blackberry is in my purse. :) lol. *The battery dies too quick* I don't get it.

These chargers are what keep our devices full of life. What would happen if we didn't have them? You'd be left with a worthless and useless piece of metal/plastic. What's the point in having a phone/camera/iPod??

Something else I've noticed, among our Apostolic/Pentecostal people, is that we don't carry the one thing that is very important. More important than our dumb phone chargers.

Our Bible.

Our Bibles are like a charger itself. We open the book and read it, giving us a spiritual charge (like prayer). It gives us an "extra boost" of life when we need it :)

We really do need to get in the habit of carrying our Bible with us, and not only to church. We need to be in the place where we won't forget our Bible at home, when we make sure we have our charger.

Put it in your purse, leave it in your car, carry it in your hand! Just keep in by you :) You're always going to need it.

The Bible is more important than a dumb charger.
Don't you agree?

I concur! I have my iPhone fully equipped and in case it dies, I have an adorable pink bible that fits in (most) purses!

Hey on another note, keeping a bible ready for war in the midnight hour is important! I have often woken up, and began to read that open bible in the middle of the night! It's our weapon!!!

Bible Quizzer

Umm.... I had no idea what I was getting myself into lol! This is my first year of Bible Quizzing and man! I love it!!!!! :D I can't wait to go to the competitions!! :D We have to learn over 400 verses but as Bro. Vick & Brendan said "Don't look at the numbers." It's easier when you don't look at numbers and you just memorize and go over them everyday!!! I'm so excited!!! It has motivated me to get done with schoolwork lol. I hope we have a good (NOOO, a GREAT!) team so we can go to more competitions. :) Fun & traveling! Which teams do you know that are awesome Bible Quizzers?? Do you have any tips for a first time BQ??? :)

Courage in the Altar

It takes courage to walk to the altar (a lot of the time). Especially when you are struggling and going through trials. Most of us feel embarrassed or have too much pride to cry in the altar, shout, or dance in the Spirit. It really does amaze me.. It's like we are intimidated by other women/men.. Have you ever noticed it? Courage: " have the courage of one's convictions, to  act   in accordance with one's beliefs, especially in spite of criticism." (dictionary.com) I've heard plenty of people say, "The day so&so shouts and runs the aisles is when I'll do it." I REALLY don't get it! Do these people not have the revelation of worship, praise, and not to care what others are going to think about them?? Sometimes, worship is a life or death situation. :/ Seriously. You won't give God 100% of your praise... You're holding back.. You won't let loose. The saints of God get victory through prayer and worship.

A love for the Potter's wheel

It'll take an eternity for me to tell God how thankful I am and how much I love Him.. I'm sure you will all agree. God has been soo good. It's not right to dwell on your past (as a hindrance) but I think this is the exception: When I look at where I was a few short years ago and now, where I stand today. Constantly, I have been changing for the better. On the "Potter's wheel," God has been molding me into the woman He wants me to be. He had to break me down to make me brand new. It wasn't easy, I can tell ya that. I'm sure God had to use a sledge hammer to shatter my "pot" lol :) If you know what I mean. Honestly, most of us don't want to be put out of our "norm." When you're life is going great, you don't think, "In 6 months, I'm going to lose my house/parents/job/best friend/etc." I think almost every situation that happens is God's way of placing me (us) on the table to be molded and shaped
