The Witnessing Tool

*Calling all Apostolic - Pentecostals*

Do you ever feel like you're the only one who is different at school or work?

The only one whose religion is TRUE and SEPARATED?
That hears preaching from the Word of God and not from the "how-to" books?

Yes, when we start up a conversation about what religion we are, they claim Christianity and know Jesus Christ is Lord, yet, they live amongst the world. Unseparated.

2 Corinthians 6:17 says, "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you,"

We feel like we're the only ones in school who don't wear mini-skirts, the way-to-revealing tops (also known as the how-much-skin-can-i-show-and-not-get-in-trouble-for-it clothing)??? For guys, you get asked the question, "Aren't you hot!?" way too much. Enough to get on your nerves. Being the only person they see dressed like this, at the very least you could say that it surprises them. We don't look like any normal person.

"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people .... "

1 Peter 2:9

They wonder "why not??" Some people are curious enough to ask and you know what? I'm glad people ask me... because not only is it more modest and much CUTER ;) but it's a witnessing tool. Have you ever noticed that? Yes, I know God sees us deal with the peer pressure, fighting and struggling to stay on top of it and I know He will bless and honor us for that but the main point of it is that we are to ABLE talk to them about God. That person could have totally ignored you if you had went up and handed them a church card and invited them to church. However, this person decided to come up to you! Hardly any work on your part besides putting on your MODEST clothing :) Do you get what I'm saying?

So when somebody asks why your wearing your skirt to the floor or jeans on the hottest day known to man, stop what you're doing and start leading the conversation towards Jesus Christ and church. :)

I was listening in on The Rock's church service last night and a young guy was testifying about being on his way to the coffee shop (and also when he was in there). When he was walking from Starbucks to It's a Grind, a jehovah witness asked him if he was hot. He led the conversation towards church :) In the end, the jehovah witness asked if he was able to come to church. The Brother then asked if he was allowed to do that. The jehovah witness said "No, but you won't tell anybody will you?" Isn't that amazing!?!?! It started from what he was wearing! :)

Being separated (clothing-wise) DOES make a difference and it starts up conversations!! So Brothers and Sisters, let's put on our Pentecostal clothing and talk to some people about God!!!

Bible Quizzer

Umm.... I had no idea what I was getting myself into lol! This is my first year of Bible Quizzing and man! I love it!!!!! :D I can't wait to go to the competitions!! :D We have to learn over 400 verses but as Bro. Vick & Brendan said "Don't look at the numbers." It's easier when you don't look at numbers and you just memorize and go over them everyday!!! I'm so excited!!! It has motivated me to get done with schoolwork lol. I hope we have a good (NOOO, a GREAT!) team so we can go to more competitions. :) Fun & traveling! Which teams do you know that are awesome Bible Quizzers?? Do you have any tips for a first time BQ??? :)

Coincidence? I think not.

There came a time in my life where I needed to get out from being under the spotlight...  To get away for awhile.  To be alone. To deal with things in my life. And now I'm here :) writing...  I  am currently attending North-West College to become a Pharmacy Technician.  (I also work here during the day) A fellow pharmacy student was talking to me before class... She poured her heart out to me. She was crying-tears rolling down her cheeks. She was hurting. She was contemplating taking drugs again. She was losing her faith in God. And there I was.. A child of God Filled with the Holy Ghost Having peace in my life  Knowing that God hears me We cried together. The people that surround us need to hear encouragement and love from God's people. They need the opportunity to walk into a church that preaches truth, that has life! They need to see God through you!  Don't be afraid to cry with them. God put you with them at that moment... God knew they needed you ...

A Special Touch From Heaven

For many many months, I wasn't feeling well. It was like I had something stuck inside of me that pushed everything about me (bubbly personality, a little ball of joy, Miss Sunshine, full of energy) into a little ball and filled the rest of the space with emptiness [cold]. It has definitely not been the best part of my life, for sure. It's one of those trials where you just want to go back to the year before lol. I'm telling you, I was the total opposite of who I really am. Oh my, talk about craziness. I started to get really sad, kept to myself a lot, and ZERO energy.. Ahhhh it was all bad!! If you think that I am wallowing around in this pile of mud (not wanting to get out), think again! I've been pushing myself harder to get back to my old self. I've been getting into the Word, praying, keeping in contact with friends/etc. For 3 weeks (up until a week ago), I slept almost ALL day. Not kidding. I told you, NO ENERGY. I didn't want to do anything. No piano, no...
