The Beginning

I used to think the "beginning was when I was born..

I turned 8, recieved the Holy Ghost, and was baptized in Jesus name. After  I came out of the water, I felt new... I thought this was 'the beginning'..

When I was old enough to celebrate New Years, the "new" beginning would be the exact second the clock struck midnight. Forgetting the past and moving forward with a clean slate..

Then, I heard that song that goes something like this, "It's a new season. It's a new day...." Brand new start every day.

I thought it stopped there..

There wasn't another beginning after that, was there? Last night, Jan. 20, '11, I came to the realization that NO! It doesn't stop there! Every time I ask God to forgive me and wash away my sins with the blood of Jesus, THAT is when I'm brand new.

I could be having a horrible "new day" but when I ask God to forgive me, that's when a new beginning starts.

Hi Sis. Megan,

I saw you last night during service and altar call, but never got a chance to talk to you. It was good seeing you, even from a distance!

Bible Quizzer

Umm.... I had no idea what I was getting myself into lol! This is my first year of Bible Quizzing and man! I love it!!!!! :D I can't wait to go to the competitions!! :D We have to learn over 400 verses but as Bro. Vick & Brendan said "Don't look at the numbers." It's easier when you don't look at numbers and you just memorize and go over them everyday!!! I'm so excited!!! It has motivated me to get done with schoolwork lol. I hope we have a good (NOOO, a GREAT!) team so we can go to more competitions. :) Fun & traveling! Which teams do you know that are awesome Bible Quizzers?? Do you have any tips for a first time BQ??? :)

Get this.. my Uncle Jerry Sr. thought he was going to preach "Family Weekend" at Jerry Jr.'s church in Yuma. Lol. He thought it was just the church and their families. He called his son (Jerry Jr) and asked if Aunt Marg and Uncle Babs could come (remember, they didn't know it was the Rowell family that was actually there) so Jerry Jr said OF COURSE! :) LOL we had to keep the surprise from Uncle Jerry Sr and Aunt Loretta. (Waiting for the wonderful couple to arrive) My cousin Jerry Jr pretended like it was a normal service and when he gave the signal, we stood up and faced Uncle Jerry Sr and Aunt Loretta. They were soooo shocked! :) We started singing "Happy Anniversary to you" to the tune of  the "Happy Birthday" song. The service was sooo beautiful. They played their wedd
